First Grade

Ms. Beth Fries: I have my Bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston and I am a highly qualified reading teacher. My hobbies include spending time with family, swimming, and gardening.

Mr. Anthony Jones: I graduated from the University of Kentucky and began teaching in Wuhan, China.  I am obsessed with my two dogs, Apollo and Oakley, and love spending time outside.  I enjoy playing golf, fishing, walking, writing, reading, and playing the piano.

Ms. Erica Larson:  I have a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Clemson University and a master’s degree in Education. I love reading, spending time with my family, and taking my dog to the beach!

Mrs. Dana Tirado: I received my Early Childhood degree, Masters in Education, and certificate for GATE at Azusa Pacific University.  My hobbies are reading, hiking, biking, and paddle boarding.

Mrs. Brittney Jones:  I received my Early Childhood degree from the University of Texas in San Antonio. I am a military spouse and have had the opportunity of teaching in multiple different states, as well as in Japan. I have taught Pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, and Fifth Grade! My husband and I have three children together. My children love Okatie Elementary just as much as I do. My passion is teaching children to become lifelong readers.  I believe in a strong foundation in reading, writing, and math is necessary for their future successes.
