Mrs. Jennifer Bailey: This is my 19th year teaching. I love teaching Pre-K where children learn through play. I am looking forward to a great year!

Mrs. Karen Sirico: I love being here at Okatie.  On the weekends my favorite thing to do is spend time with my family.

Mrs. Diane Woods: I have been teaching PreK for 25 years. I have six children and enjoy family time together. I am looking forward to a great year!     

Ms. Michelle Flagg: I have 6 years in Pre-K experience as an assistant teacher in Georgia. 4 years Sped experience at HHIMS. I have an Associates Degree in Educational Paraprofessional. My husband, Lewis, and I have lived in the Low Country for 8 years. We moved here from Conyers Georgia.

Mrs. Latrista Crumpler: I graduated from USC-Beaufort with a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. I also have my Master’s Degree in Technology from Lesley University.  I enjoy shopping, listening to music, sitting on my porch enjoying the scenery, and traveling.

Mrs. Donna LeGrande: I have been working at Okatie for the past two years as a Special Ed assistant!! This will be my third year at Okatie and my first year as a Pre k assistant. I am married and have two children. I am so excited to be working with the little ones since I use to have my own in home daycare!!!

Ms. Megan Gunkle: I am from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I graduated from Saint Vincent College with a degree in Early Childhood and Special Education.  I have taught in Kindergarten and preschool. I love going to the beach and visiting my family. I am looking forward to a great year!

Ms. Trina Mike: I have worked with students with special needs for the past 16 years. I’m married with three grown children. I love to travel (especially cruises) and have visited several countries in the Caribbean.

Ms. Barbara Bain: I was born and raised here in the Low Country.  I am a Gamecock graduate and a baseball fan.  I love working with children of all ages, but special needs is where my heart is.

 

What does our year look like?

PreK uses the Creative Curriculum studies in this order (each last 4-6 weeks) we just finished beginning of eyar and will be starting our tree study.
