Ms. Siobhan McCann - Library: I have a Bachelors of Science in Liberal Studies from Longwood University with a teaching cert for Pre-K through 8th for teaching with focuses in Math, Science, and Social Studies. I have a MLIS from the University of South Carolina with a certification in Information and Library Science for Pre-k through 12th. Endorsements in Gifted and Talented, Read to Succeed, Online Teaching, and Project Based Learning. I enjoy reading, crafting, watching movies, spending time with my friends and family, and traveling.
Mrs. Ana Allen - Art: I was born in Brazil, but I grew up in Arizona. I studied Art at Temple University in Philadelphia. I live with my husband and two cats. When I am not teaching, I enjoy being out on the water on our boat or teaching myself a new craft and/or art medium.
Mrs. Shannon Austin - PE: I am a certified K-12 Health and Physical Education Teacher and have taught for just over half a decade in our district. I am looking forward to another amazing year with my Okatie Family and creating even more memories. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time outdoors, at the beach or on the May River with my family!
Ms. Kira Winders - PE: I am very passionate about teaching my students and encouraging them to live a healthy lifestyle while having fun. I graduated with a Bachelor’s in Science from Appalachian State University and then continued my education and received my Master’s in Elementary Education from Liberty University. I am married with 4 children, and we have a puppy. My family and I love fishing, watching sports, traveling, and spending time together.
Ms. Lisa Lapin - Music: I am originally from the state of Wisconsin and have always had a passion for teaching elementary aged children about music. Certified to teach grades K-12, I graduated with a Bachelor of Music in Education, Master of Arts in Education, and Master of Science in Educational Administration. In my free time, my husband and I enjoy activities outside in nature.
Mrs. Amanda Altman - Primary STEM: I have a loving husband, Mitchell, a beautiful daughter, Aubrey, and a charming son, Gavin. I also have a dog named Trooper. Some of the favorite things to do are going to Rays and Braves baseball games, going to Disney, and relaxing at the beach.
