School Nurse
School nursing, a specialized practice of nursing, protects and promotes student health, facilitates optimal development, and advances academic success. School nurses, grounded in ethical and evidence-based practice, are the leaders who bridge health care and education, provide care coordination, advocate for quality student-centered care, and collaborate to design systems that allow individuals and communities to develop their full potential.
Our school nurse, Ms. Brittany Kaczor, RN, has been at Okatie for eight years, half of which she spent in pediatrics. She is available for students and staff. If you have a fever, cough, ear pain, sore throat, help with medications, acute and chronic illnesses, vision and hearing screenings, scrapes and emergencies. If parents request for their child to be seen to determine the next steps of their child’s care, they can count on Ms. Kaczor.
Email Ms. Kaczor or call 843-322-7791.
