What's Happening
- Our Book Vending Machine has been AMAZING! We have been able to award books to more than 100 students, staff, and parents.
- Our guest author, Aaron Reynolds, will be joining us Match 14th!
- Our Spring Book Fair will be PAWsatively Pawsome and will be in the library March 27th through April 6th.
Library Challenges
Our current library challenge is for 3rd, 4th, 5th graders. Students are invited to design a bookmark for one of the Children's Book Nominees (listed below). They are due Friday, Feb 3rd. Parents will need to sign off on the challenge.
2nd - 5th graders will have the chance to work on an Aaron Reynold's challenge, creating a bookmark, book trailer, or book review. 10 lucky winners will get a chance to eat lunch with Aaron Reynolds.
iSpy is updated monthly. Students count up how many of a certain item they can find in the aquarium. At the end of the month those with all the correct answers will be put into a drawing and one lucky winner will get a coin to the vending machine.
Coding with stickers! The library has a mystery poster in the room. Patrons have to use the legend to help color/ABC code the stickers to help make the mystery image appear.
Interactive boards. Throughout the year there are interactive bulletin boards outside the library. Students, staff and parents are invited to participate. Sometimes they are a game, sometimes they are filling out a paper to point.
