Darby Kinsey, Battery Creek High School Class of 2023, was unanimously selected as the inaugural recipient of the Pat Conroy’s Literary Center’s Future Educator Scholarship and awarded the prestigious Center for Educator Recruitment, Retention, and Advancement (CERRA) South Carolina Teaching Fellowship. Congratulations!

**All Students** and parents - listen to this - Bluffton Middle SchoolH.E. McCracken Middle School, and River Ridge Academy band programs are teaming up to host a **Be Part of the Band Night** at 6 pm on Tuesday, April 18th in the Bluffton Middle School gymnasium. This is open to any 5th grade students in the Bluffton area, **regardless of what school they are attending next year.**

Come on out! Students will be able to try the instruments they've always wanted to play. Now's the chance to **be part of the band**

Beach day Thursday, April 6th. Students can wear spring or beach themed attire that is school appropriate (no bathing suits). Please no ripped jeans and students still need to wear closed-toe shoes for their safety.

Our annual Young Astronauts’ Egg Drop Survivors. The goal was to create a protective housing for an egg that could survive a drop when thrown from a tall height. The student’s designs keep getting better and better. So many survivors! Congrats Young Astronauts!

SC state fair information

All Day Military Appreciation Day at the State Fair will be held on October 13, 17 & 20. Active and retired military and their dependents (with proper military identification cards) will be admitted FREE.  Dependent children 14 years old and older must present ID.
